The organization is headed by project Coordinator/Director who has been in development work for about 13 years, a peer health educators’ trainer, and attendant of various seminars, workshops/training both within and outside the country. Senior Program Officer, who is a biochemist, a development practitioner, trained facilitator by British Council/World Bank and worked for WHO, Kano state as state Coordinator Street immunization, L.G.A Facilitator and consultant on HIV/AIDs and OVCs programming. Other executive and members include seasoned and vast development workers, Community Physicians, CHOs, CHEWs, Psychologists, peer health educators, counselors, Laboratory Scientists, experts in HIV/AIDs Counselling and Testing, Gender Disability and Inclusion experts, administrators, Information Technology experts, youth & women liberators. Volunteers include Medical Doctors and trained nurses. To date SYAHD have about 30 Volunteers, over 100 peer Health Educators (PLWHA inclusive) and about 500 registered members.

However, the governing board, which is the highest decision maker, is headed by Professor Isa Abubakar Sadeeq, a Consultant Community Physician with Bayero University, Kano/Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital. Others include, Philanthropists and other luminary Nigerians cutting across various sectors.
